In 1999, he came to Japan for the first time with the support of IN FLAMES after the announcement of his 2nd "Hatebreeder". In 2000, released 3rd "Follow The Reaper" (2nd and 3rd won gold). After that, world distribution became universal, and in 2003 he released the 4th "Hate Crew Deathroll", which was the first hit in the history of the band that won the number one in his home country. After that, Lopee Latvala was invited as a new guitarist, and his activities were further activated. In 2005, "Are You Dead Still?" also won the first place in his home country, and charted in the top rankings in other countries. Activities in the United States also paid off, and the subsequent 6th Blooddrunk (2008) won 22nd place in the overall Billboard chart, the highest in his career. Performed at LOUD PARK in 2006 and 2009. In 2011, he released the 7th "Relentless, Reckless Forever". In the same year, he came to Japan for coupling with AMORPHIS. In 2012, he released the best album "Holiday at Lake Bodom: 15 Years of Wasted Youth", which summarizes his career. In the same year, he left the spine farm record, which he had belonged to for 15 years, and announced his transfer to New Clear Brast, and a contract with Avalon Label was announced in Japan.
