Born in Texas, USA in 1975.
Pianist, composer, educator. A variety of musicians who also present media art and installation works.
Released his first album from the prestigious Blue Note Record in 1999. He has established his reputation for his flexible musicality that incorporates post-bap, avant-garde jazz, contemporary music, and hip-hop from classical play such as strides. In 2014, Blue Note brought the main concert to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the label, the duo performances by Robert Glass Par and Jason Moran. Released "All Rise" jointly produced by Don Walls and Michel Ndegeocello in 2015. Performed in Tokyo at Blue Note Tokyo and Cotton Club. He is currently active in the band of Charles Lloyd.
In 2016, he launched his own label YES LABEL and released his solo piano live album "THE ARMONY CONCERT" at The Park Avenue Armony.
In charge of the music of the 2014 American historical drama movie "Groley / March to Tomorrow (the American title is "SELMA"). The theme song "Gllory", co-authored by John Legend and common, won the Golden Globe Award Theme Song Award and the 87th Academy Award Theme Song Award.
He is a superstar in the jazz world that is enough to serve as a bird at the Blue Note 75th Anniversary Festival, but he is a pianist who can surely grasp his heart without limiting to jazz. Hidenori Mukai, Tatsuya Nakamura, U-zhaan, Keiji Haino, etc. Don't miss the stage of the world's strongest man who can say that he lost with a pianist who continues to make a whirlwind in Japanese jazz!
