Since 1984, he has presided over Ghost, a group with a commune as his mother in Tokyo. After debuting from Drag City in the United States, he has been active overseas for 30 years. The psychedelic, Asid folk music, and the style of improvisation in live performances boasted a cult popularity. After the dissolution, The Silence was formed mainly by Mato and Okano. We have released three works from Drag City until last year. In September, the fourth new album will be released from Drag City. The elements of free jazz, psychedelic rock, and fork blend in and are backed by a strong groove.

After that, he continued his live activities irregularly, turning into a band composed of irregular members centered on Kawabata and Miyashita.
