First and foremost, I offer my sincere apologies that the announcement for the cancellation of my
BEST ALBUM tour was belated.
A few months ago, I never imagined that I would have to make such an announcement concerning
my tour. Ever since COVID-19 began spreading around the world, I’ve witnessed so many drastic
changes in society and in everyday life, and my heart aches deeply. And the fact that so many
lives have been lost is something I still cannot come to terms with.
As a musician, I’ve had to face many obstacles these past few months. My staff and I have also
had to make many painful decisions together, and the cancellation of this special tour was one of
the hardest to make. However, we also knew that the most important thing was the safety and
health of all that would take part. That is also why we chose to “cancel” and not “postpone”.
We are deeply saddened by this.
But right now, the entire world is faced with so much pain and sadness, and I believe we must all
work together in order to overcome this pandemic. And I as a musician, will endeavor to do
whatever is possible, to be a strength for those people in need.
Lastly, I am deeply sorry for everyone who was looking forward to this tour, myself included. We
