This April, Steve Gad, a 70-year-old super drummer, will take a new album, 70 Strong. Since the early 1970s, he has been working across genres with complete and complete techniques and a groove sense of gooseskin as a weapon, working for “staff,” “steps,” “gad gang,” etc., and since 1995 he has also performed on Eric Clapton’s tour band. This time, it appears by a regular group that Gad is most energetic now. I look forward to a hot exchange with Technicians such as Michael Landau and Larry Golding, who have also played with James Taylor's band.
