Formed in Nessier, Sweden in 1989. Produced a demonstration in 1990. The following year's debut EP "SOMETHING TO SWALLOW" was announced. Contracted with Swedish Megarock Records in 1993, released the first album "DIESEL & POWER" in 1994. Shortly after, Dregen formed THE HELLACOPTERS with ENTOMBED Nikke Anderson, and his activities as BYB were suspended. In 1997, Dragen left THE HELLACOPTERS and finally started with BACKYARD BABIES seriously.

Released the second album "TOTAL 13" in 1998. This year, he also performed for the first time in Japan, and became famous as a band that is very popular not only in Western Europe but also in Japan. Completed the 3rd album "MAKING ENEMIES IS GOOD" in 2001, and the second visit to Japan was also realized. In 2003, he released his masterpiece "STOCKHOLM SYNDROME". The band, who supported the AC/DC European tour and gained popularity, won the same year's "Swedish Grammy Awards" on this album. This work is ranked 2nd in the national chart's first appearance in Sweden, his homeland.

In 2004, he went to Japan for his third time to appear in "SONIC MANIA", and in Western Europe he supported VELVET REVOLVER tour. And in 2005, he released his live album "LIVE IN PARIS" as a culmination as a live band. In 2006, she produced and released her fifth studio album, "PEOPLE LIKE PEOPLE LIKE PEOPLE LIKE US," with Nikke Anderson of THE HELLACOPTERS as producer. The brave figure on the Japan Tour, including "LOUD PARK 06," is also new to my memory.

And in 2008, his label Billion Dollar Babies Records released his sixth studio album, BACKYARD BABIES, with his band name. Starting in early August, starting with a performance in his homeland Sweden, he left for a European tour until mid-October. He traveled to U.K., France, Germany and other countries. The Japan Tour, which was held in November 2008, ended with great success. However, on November 16, 2009, the 20th anniversary of its formation, Nikke declared the suspension of activities indefinitely in an interview with a local Daily newspaper. From mid-January to mid-February, after touring in Western Europe and Japan, I stopped doing that.

During the pause, Nikke launched a solo project called NICKE BORG HOMELAND, releasing the first album "CHAPTER 2" in 2011 and the second album "RUINS OF A RIOT" in 2013. Dregen joined MICHAEL MONROE in 2011 and released "HORNS AND HALOS" in 2013. In the same year, he also announced his first solo album. In addition, he withdrew from MICHAEL MONROE due to changes in the living environment, such as publishing autobiography and the birth of his son.

In 2015, the company signed a contract with Gain Music Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sweden. In June, live activities resumed at the "Seiden Rock Festival". He also appeared in "Download Festival" and excites British fans. And in August, he released the resurrection album "FOUR BY FOUR". After pulling the album, she appeared in "LOUD PARK 15", followed by a solo Japan tour. In 2019, he signed a contract with Sony's Century Media in regions other than Japan, and released his eighth work, "SLIVER AND GOLD."
