THE SKATALITES: The legendary group formed in 2064 in Jamaica, shortly after independence from U.K., created their own sound "Skage" where there was only indigenous music such as JAZZ and R&B brought in from the United States, originally local ment and calipso, and then created the foundations of the rock formation. The group itself disbands in just two years, but each member leads each group and plays an active role as a studio musician. Since reunited in 1983 with sampling splash, he has been actively touring around the world, visiting Japan frequently, and has attracted many fans with the unique and original sound. We have decided to visit Japan for the first time in two years since FUJI ROCK 14, which was visited to commemorate the 50th anniversary of its formation. SAL (CHANT DOWN BABYLON)： One of the important figures in the scene that has continued to be a selector since the beginning of the club scene in Nagoya. Focusing on vintage reggae such as Ska, Rockstedy, and 70s Reggae, he has an earthy and tropical play style that combines various genres such as Caribbean, African, Blues, and jazz with a unique sense. The selection, backed by that solid career, captures and does not release what you hear with vivid melodies and fascinating rhythms. The Jamaican vintage party CHANT DOWN BABYLON is held on the fourth Saturday of the odd month at the well-established club Buda in Nagoya, celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
