Do you know the genre of rock steddy? In 1967, Jamaica was very hot, and the music was born by slowing down the rhythm from the opinion that it could not be done with the uptempo rhythm of Ska, which was the mainstream until then, rockstedy. Cool and romantic late-year Lovers Rock base music for hot sca, and great basslines that became the basis of dance halls were born in this era. There was another Mr. Rock Stedy alongside Alton Ellis during that wonderful Jamaica music era, God Father Ken Booth.
The booth, which shouted with a soul rushing to the smooth and silky Alton, was called Wilson Pikett, Jamaica.
A duo with his ally Stranger was the beginning of his career, and "Artibela" and "World Fear" were hit under Coxon in 1965. In 1966, he made his solo debut with "You're No Good" and "Train Is Coming". Without the invitation of Treasure Ayle, he was a hard singer who flew numerous hits such as "Come Running Back", "Moving Away" and "Just Another Girl", but later moved to Leslie Kong's Beverlies and "Freedom Street" [It's Gonna Take A Miracle] from Keith Hudson, hit "Old Fashioned Way" from Phil Pratt, and hit "Not For Sale" was recorded on Char Mars, and at the time it was recorded not only by Jamaica but also by U.K.
Since then, many of these unwavering hits have been inducted into the Reggae Hall of Fame and have been sung by many singers.
