Elvis Costello's first visit to Japan was in 1978 by Tom's Cabin, the smallest promoter in Japan. At this time, the photos of Costello and The Attractions, dressed in school uniforms and played on the back of a truck, have been handed down as a legend of the history of Japanese Western music. And the Attractions keyboard player Steve Nyve produced an album for British country duo My Darling Clementine (DC). In April of this year, Elvis Costello and Steve came to Japan with Toms Cabin Hiroshi Asada to discuss the MDC tour. Steve came to see Asada's country band as to what to do with the back, and it was decided that he would be good with Hiroshi's band, so MDC's first visit to Japan was decided. All performances The Flying Dumpling Brothers will be backing.
My Darling Clementine (MDC) was formed in 2010 by Michael Weston King and Lou Dargreche as a duo singing a repertoire centered on country music in Birmingham, England. In 2020, he released the album "Country Darkness", which includes all Elvis Costello's songs on Steve Nave's Prodace. Elvis Costello’s novel approach to breathe new breath into Costello’s work surprised critics, and was well received by Elvis Costello fans for expressing their original feelings more deeply. This album "Country Darkness" will be released on September 25 by HAYABUSA LANDINGS as a commemorative release for Japan. Please look forward to your long-awaited first visit.
