PRAYING MANTIS <Playing Mantis>

[blue][bold]PRAYING MANTIS[/bold][/blue] Playing Mantis is a band of the Tino & Chris Troy brothers, a lyric band featuring beautiful chorus and melody. In 1979, he released a self-produced EP "Captured City" with three songs. It was just the year when NWOBHM broke out at U.K. at that time, and I also participated in the omnibus album "Meal For Muthas", which gathered bands from this time. After performing at the Reading Rock Festival, Alista released the full album "TIME TELLS NO LIES" in 1981, and the high quality of its content became a hot topic, making it a work that is still handed down as a masterpiece of NWOBHM. However, bands that do not lose their contract due to trouble with Alista will be dissolved. In 1990, the NWOBHM 10th anniversary event was held in Japan, and the band performed in Japan with Praying Mantis, which was added to Tino & Chris Troy plus Bruce Pisland (Ds) and former Iron Meiden Paul Day Anno and Dennis Stratton. In 1991, he released his second album, PREDATOR IN DISGUISE, a return album, and succeeded in visiting Japan alone. He also released "CRY FOR THE NEW WORLD" in 1993 and visited Japan. In 1995, he released "TO THE POWER OF TEN" and performed in Japan, and the live album at that time was released the following year. In 1998, he released "FOREVER IN TIME" and performed his fourth visit to Japan. In 1999, an event commemorating the 20th anniversary of NWOBHM was held in Japan at Hibiya Outdoor Music Hall, and in addition to playing mantis, a group of members at the time of their debut, TANK, SAMSON, and TRESPASS also appeared. He released "NOWHERE TO HIDE" in 2000 and "THE JOURNEY GOES ON" in 2003, but the band temporarily suspends his activities. However, in 2007, in addition to the Troy brothers, Benjiy Rad (Ds), Andy Burghes (G), and Mike Freeland (Vo) appeared at the Bang Your Head Festival, which surprised fans. In 2008, he also performed at the Headbangers Open Air Festival in Germany. In 2009, the 30th anniversary of NWOBHM, he released the new album "SANCTUARY" for the first time in six years, and performed for the first time in 10 years. In 2011, 30 years after the release of "TIME TELLS NO LIES", the band announced a five-piece mini album "Metalmorphosis" that was a current member and remake of past songs, and this part 2 was also being produced in Japan.
