David Bron Bergh's first visit to Japan was 34 years ago in January 1978.
He named himself a sideman in the back of Jerry Jeff Worker and came to Japan with his band David Bromberg Band.
I was surprised at their free arrangements and performance styles from bluegrass, queeric and blues to pops.
After that, Bron Bergh became a musical instrument dealer and was away from his temporary performance activities, but in 1989 he released a solo CD called Sideman Selenade and resumed his performance activities.
The number of people is not as large as before, but as a solo, I started touring with my band David Bron Bergh band.
And in 2007, I released a CD with a meaningful title called Try Me One More Time, and started to perform live activities in earnest.
In 2011, he released a CD with a title called Use Me, which reminds sidemen to revive.
This CD, which is a collaboration with old friends such as Levon Helm, John Hyatt, Tim Oblien, Dr. John, Los Lobos, Linda Ronstat, and Vins Gil, has no flashy, but has a wonderful finish with a focus and vocals.
By the way, this time, three musicians who have been performing together recently participate in this visit.
All of them are excellent musicians recognized by David. I saw their performance in San Francisco last year, but it was wonderful.
Please look forward to David Bron Bergh for the first time in 34 years.
