Born in 1982 in Moka City, Tochigi Prefecture.
When he was a child, Hibari Misora and Yujiro Ishihara, who were always hanging in a car with his parents, were the starting point of the song.
I like singing in public, and since I was in elementary and junior high school, I have played a role in having a microphone naturally at banquets and gatherings.
In 2001, he started music activities at the JAZZ Study Group, which joined at the same time as entering university.
Singing "ROSE" and saying, "Your voice is for singing jazz," the course is decided. I studied JAZZ vocals in earnest for two years from that day.
After graduating from university in 2005, he moved to the United States and entered the LAMA/Los Angeles Music Academy, California.
He studied under Kevyn Lettau, Cathy Segal-Garcia, Diana Booker, Tim Owen, Anthony Inzalaco and others, and experienced lively live activities.
Performed with Michael Shapiro, Airto Moreira and others.
Returned to Japan in September 2007.
He moved to Tokyo in November of the same year.
Currently, he is active mainly in JAZZ spots and live houses in Tokyo.
In July 2010, he released the self-produced Makoto Ueno's 1st album "Lovin'you".
The beloved singers are Hibari Misora, Junko Ochi, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Tuck & Patti, Donny Hathaway, Al Jarreaw, Kevyn Lettau.
Roddy
The two meet in Okinawa under the guidance of the producer "Yasunori Soryo". Each was solo, but started working as a unit "vera", produced by Yasunori Soryo, who found two miracle unisons and harmony. Created originals while performing numerous live events.
But then the two choose different paths.
tomoyo continued his activities in Okinawa as a solo, went to Tokyo for a major debut in 2010 after performing single release, live CM songs, movie theme songs, and live performances overseas.
Ai moved his activity base to Tokyo and entered the Kogakuin Music Department of Japan. Participated in Himetra's CD production and won the Best Vocalist Award at graduation concerts.
After graduating, he participated in the Compilation Album NEXT Treasure 2008.
The two reunited in Tokyo made use of their solo activities for five years and renamed the unit name "RODDY" (Roddy) and resumed their activities. Released a maxissingle from King Records in 2010.
In 2011, he released his first album, "I like you as it is."
