Formed in Melbourne, Australia for 1980, led by Brendan Berry and Risa Gelald. Later, along with Cochteau Twins, he became a signboard band for <4AD>, leaving a great influence on the music scene. He disbanded in 1998, leaving eight original albums and one EP, but resumed his activities in 2005. Risa became a hot topic in 2010 when he was in charge of the main theme song of the popular Taiga drama series Ryomaden. He freely features elements of world music, the melody of the Middle Ages, folk ballads, baroque styles, Celtic songs, electronica sounds and samples, and established the genre of "Dead Can Dance".
