Nikki Glaspie: A super-sold drummer who is active in the world's diva "Beyoncé", James Brown's fanky saxophone "Maceo Parker", the current progressive New Orleans fank "Dumpstaphunk", his band "The Nth Power". It's funky and tight, and its sensible drumplay continues to attract attention from musicians around the world.
John "Papa" Gros: At a young age, he joined the "George Porter, Jr." band of "Meters". Around 2000, he formed "Papa Grows Funk" with Yamagishi. In a blink of an eye, he climbed to the top as a funk and jam band, and toured all over the world to become a global band. Although it was disbanded in 2013, there were many voices who wanted to reunite, and in 2017 documentary films were broadcast throughout the United States, and it is still very popular.
