DYGL
In April, she released her 1st full album, Say Goodbye to Memory Den, featuring guitarist Albert Hammond Jr from The Strokes. The first album, which jumps over the boundaries of Japanese and Western music, is filled with the fundamental urge of "joy" and "excitement" of rock music, has become a big topic and is recording hits. In February 2017, a two-man live inviting Only Real from England at Shibuya WWWX, Tokyo WWW X 2Days in May, and December Liquid Room solo performances were all sold out.
BEACH FOSSILS
Beach Fossils, an important band of Brooklyn Indy in New York, where Zachary Call Smith of the current DIIV was also enrolled. In June, he released a new full album for the first time in four years from his own Bayonet Records. The finest masterpiece, which has a pale psychede taste wrapped in soft light, fills the whole story, and sometimes features mellow saxophones, flutes, and strings, and guides listeners to the edge of potassies, is also a big topic here in Japan.
