<In holding “TOKYO LAB 2018”>
"TOKYO LAB" was held since last year based on the concept of a next-generation music laboratory (LAB), which develops in Tokyo, which constantly creates new values and trends. This second time, in the memorable year of the 30th anniversary of Shibuya Club Kurotoro, it consists of a program that pursues experimentalism and topicality (two bands/projects designed for this purpose!) Like last year, the theme is "beyond NEXT". Please look forward to "TOKYO LAB", where young musicians with world-class musicality and techniques transcend the boundaries of JAZZ and challenge new music creation.

Tsunochin’s Optimiscape
A new project by multi-creator Ryuta Tsunoda, who works as the lyrics, arrangement, base & band master of "Monkuru". This time, "TOKYO LAB 2" will be a fast-track event.
Music that draws words from his regular band "Monkuru", draws tango from "Piasora *", draws initial impulses from "Indie Rock *", and leaves only love from "Jazz".
"I think it's not enough, but now it's comfortable."…
It is a three-piece band composed mainly of guitar sound, which can be said to be truly "Less is More" music, and expresses the world view of the instrumental that can only be captured by Tsunoda, who is constantly exploring the possibilities of Japanese songs and music.
Ryuta Tsunoda (Bass/Guitar/Synth)
Inoue (Guitar)
Hiroshi Kimura (Drums)
MELRAW
A solo project by Kohei Ando, who has supported the sound of many artists, including WONK, as a multi-instrumentalist, saxophones, flutes, trumpets, guitars, synthesizers, and MPCs in all directions. Based on a unique concept* that was created by the mind control of the alien who claims to be "MELRAW" possessed by music, it transmits unique music that cannot be captured in the framework of contemporary jazz.

Yuma Hara(Guitar)
Akinori Handa(Keyz)
Shota Takagi(Bass)

SONG BOOK PROJECT
Genius drummer Hayao Ishiwaka, who has received tremendous support from Japan and abroad at a young age, has been working on composing the theme of <Uta> since 2013 as a multi-artist, starting from the home record, and at the end of 2016, as the first album "SONG BOOK", I finally see the sun. Later, in 2017, he released "SONG BOOKII" and refined his ability to compose.
This time, Hayao Ishiwaka, who shows extraordinary talents not only as a drummer, but also as a composer arranger and pianist, will listen to the beautiful melody with up-and-coming members in a minimal and undulating arrangement.
Shun Ishiwaka (Piano, Drums)

MAY INOUE×SHUTA NISHIDA presents MEETZ TWELVE
A twin guitar project formed by STEREO CHAMP and Shudai Nishida (Yoshihei Yoshida group), who are driving the next JAZZ scene, for "TOKYO LAB". New Guitar Music, originally woven by jazz and rock, and two people who have walked different fields. This is the first live performance in Japan that builds a novel sound space with the theme of the fusion of the infinite possibilities of guitar instruments and coolness.
Inoue (Guitar from STEREO CHAMP)
Shudai Nishida (Guitar, Electronics from Yohei Yoshida group)
Hiroki Chiba (Bass)
Shun Ishiwaka (Drums from SONG BOOK PROJECT)
T.O.C Band Feat. Keiichi Tomita (Tomita Lab)
"T.O.C Band" took off the veil at "TOKYO LAB" held for the first time last year. Under Japan's leading composer and arranger and multiplayer "Pop Maestro Keiichi Tomita (Tomita Lab),", young jazz musicians representing Japan gather to perform unprecedented "beyond NEXT" music. A legendary 10-member band that performs on a one-night live. “TOKYO OLYMPIC CEREMONY” stands for “TOKYO OLYMPIC CEREMONY”. The band was formed with the ambition of performing at the opening or closing ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. The member is
Keiichi Tomita (Composition, Arrangement, Bandmaster)
Inoue (Gitor from STEREO CHAMP)
Ryuta Tsunoda (Bass from Monkuru)
Hayao Ishiwaka (Drums from CLEAN UP TRIO)
Masanao Matsushita (Drums from Yasei Collective)
Fumitake Ezaki (Key from WONK)
Shinpei Kinpei (Trumet from RS5pb)
Kohei Ando (Sax, Flute from MELRAW)
Takafumi Takimoto (Trombone)
Satoshi Takeshima (Sax, Flute)
Indeed, it can be said that it is a dream band that gathers young TOP OF TOP.
In the previous first live, each musician played an overwhelming technique and sense of overwhelmingly performed a suite (Untitled) composed and arranged by Keiichi Tomita for more than 20 minutes, and was impressed by the crowd.
This time, in addition to the suite, new songs will be shown, and expectations are only increasing.
