■Buffalo Daughter

Sugar Yoshinaga (g, vo, tb-303) Yumiko Ono (b, vo, electronics) Yamamoto Mog (turntable,vo)

Formed in 1993. Two pieces of "Shaggy Head Dressers" and "Amoebae Sound System" released by Cardinal Records, an indie label hosted by the magazine "United States Music" were sold out quickly. In 1996, he signed a contract with the label Grand Royal, hosted by Betty Boys, after giving the sound source to the members at the Luchas Jackson Tokyo performance. In the same year, he released his first album, Captain Vapour Athletes (Grand Royal / Toshiba EMI), toured major cities in the United States, and was active from Tokyo to the world.

The second album "New Rock" (Grand Royal / Toshiba EMI) released in 1998 was inspired by the continuity of the same scenery seen when traveling by car on the United States tour and the repetition of German rock, and received a great response and quickly became a master piece of the times. After that, he also performed long tours around the United States by car and tours in various European cities, gaining a great reputation as a live band.

Following the release of "I" in 2001 (Emperor Norton Records/Toshiba EMI), Pshychic in 2003 and Euphorica in 2006 will be released on the Worldwide Deal from V2 Records.

In 2006, he was selected as one of the "100 Japanese people respected by the world" in the magazine Newsweek Japan Edition, and this trend has attracted attention both in Japan and overseas. In the summer of 2010, he established his own label "Buffalo Ranch". Atsushi Matsushita, a guest drummer, released the album "The Weapons Of Math Destruction" for the first time in about four years since the previous work.

In 2013, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of its formation, the first best album "ReDiscoVer. Best, Re-recordings and Remixes of Buffallo Daughter" was released. This album contains not only historical sources, but also new records, covers, live sources, and remixes. Present a new vest shape. An exhibition that traces the history of the band was also held at galleries in Tokyo and Osaka.

Released the seventh album "Konjac-tion" (Japanese U/M/A/A, French Modulor) in the summer of 2014. He actively conducted live tours both inside and outside the United States, Western Europe, Russia, Japan, and Asia. In 2019, the albums "Pshychic" and "Europhorica", which are popular both in Japan and overseas, were analogized for the first time by onosegen remastering. Guest musicians with old and new friends in Japan will be invited to the commemorative live tour, and all two albums will be reproduced live. Live images of SASUKE, AAAMYYYY, Tatsuya Nakamura, Naruto Kikuchi and Keigo Oyamada from the Tokyo Liquid Room performance are available on YouTube.

The band's friendship is not limited to musicians, but also has a close relationship with graphic and visual artists since the beginning of the formation. He has performed at various galleries and museums so far, and in recent years he has performed live painting by illustrator Ed Tsuwaki and improvised performances with Hiromichi Sakamoto's cello at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo in January 2016, live improvised performances by artists such as Keiji Ito and Kosuke Kawamura at Gallery UPLINK in Tokyo in July 2013, and live collage produced by artists.

In September 2020, he participated in a compilation album commemorating the 40th anniversary of "Packman" and released "Dots In The Maze".

July 2021 EP "Continuous Stories of Miss Cro-magnon (20 Years Later)" was announced at Bandcamp. On September 17th, the long-awaited new album "We Are The Times" was released worldwide for the first time in seven years, and the work that condenses various thoughts over a long period of time generously into the song is a work that shows a solid indicator of the world that has undergone major changes. We Are The Times Tour, which started after the announcement, appeared at the Rising Festival in Melbourne, which had been postponed for two years due to the spread of COVID-19 in June.

In addition, the band's first live video work "DogMan Live" will be released on YouTube from episode 1 to episode 3.

After that, all the live scheduled due to the COVID-19 pandemic were canceled, but we released two new songs, the masterpiece "Something Great" of 9 minutes and 46 seconds and the first Japanese song "Outer", and released a live without audience at a seaside park in Chiba Prefecture on YouTube.
