A regular member of the Irish pub "Molly Malone's" in Los Angeles was interested in Dave King, who plays there, and this Flogging Molly was formed by gathering. In 2000, the 1st album "Swagger" was released from Side One Dummy Records, which became more active. As Dave commented, "I was influenced by The Dubliners and The Pogues," the sound that listens to Irish music quickly became well-known, and together with Drop Kick Murphys from Boston, which is similarly influenced by Irish music, reminded the world of its sound. It has built an immovable position as an Irish punk band representing the United States.
