Born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1980. He started trumpetters at the age of 12 and belongs to the Big Band through middle, high and university. At the age of 16, he started performing at jazz clubs in Kobe and Osaka. He moved to the United States in 2003 and went to the Jazz Division of New School in New York. Performed at a famous club in New York while in school. After graduating, based in Brooklyn, New York, he has been active in various genres as well as jazz in Japan and overseas. Participated as an arranger and player in albums such as JUJU, Orange Pekoe, and Jose James. In 2010, he released his first leader work "Bitter & High". The second album "Edge", released in 2011, was ranked third in the US radio chart and is highly acclaimed. In June 2013, the third album "Six Aces" was released. In 2014, he made a major debut with the album "Rising Sun" produced by Jose James from the US Blue Note Label. In addition to his solo activities, he has also been active in the bands of Jose James and DJ Premier and Ayako Afroviet Ensemble. In Japan, he has also attracted attention for his appearance on the TV commercial "PLAYING FOR CHANGE" of the Daiwa Securities Group, and as a member of the special band "J Squad" formed by Japanese jazz musicians living in NY, he worked on a new theme song for TV Asahi "News Station". In 2016, the long-awaited second album, which moved the label to Concord Music on the West Coast of the United States for the first time in two and a half years, is packed with a bold rhythm approach and a variety of sound making created by self-produced members of his regular bands.
