Jake Bug is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from U.K. Nottingham. He started playing guitar at the age of 14 and gradually began making songs by himself. In 2012, his name-bearing debut album won the first place in the British chart (at that time, he was 18 years old, the youngest British male solo artist) and achieved double platinum sales and was a candidate for the Mercury Music Award. After that, while spurring creativity, the bug started working with Rick Rubin in Malibu to produce his next work. In 2013, about 12 months after the previous work, she released "Shangri La" with a richer texture. The album was ranked among the top 5 in the UK and was nominated for the second time in Brit Awards. After a successful historic performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London, the British Arena Tour reached its climax with the sold-out Alexandra Palace performance. Through his valuable experience with the diverse collaborators who participated in the 1st & 2nd work, the third work of the bug that firmly established a solid foothold is "On My One" full of amazing diversity. For the first time, this album was produced by a bug alone and wrote all the songs. It is a genuine one-man band that plays almost all instruments, including bass and drums.
Performed at the Fuji Rock Festival '16 last year, Jake Bug's "Lighting Bolt" was featured in the commercial for the new "Country Man" of BMW "MINI Crossover". Expectations are high for the live performance of bugs that created "On My One" without the help of others, changing from blues to pop, wrap, folk, Seoul, and country while maintaining outstanding songwriting skills.
