Arthur Jeffs, the son of Simon Jeffs, the leader of the Penguin Café Orchestra (PCO), who predominant in the 1980s, formed the center. PCO debuted with Brian Eno's "OBSCURE" label in 1976. In the 1980s, when music such as ambient, minimal, and techno attracted attention, he became the flagship of fashionable environmental music/subculture, and was supported by many up-and-coming artists and created followers. A legendary chamber orchestra that continues to have a great influence not only on the music scene but also on movies and art scenes. In 1997, Simon died in 1997, but in 2009, his son Arthur Jeffs took over his father's will and renewed his members (members of gorilla's, Swede and Trojans) and renamed Penguin Café. In 2011, the first album "A Mater of Life" as a new Penguin Cafe, the first album "The Mater of Life" as a new Penguin Cafe...."I announced it and started in earnest. In 2012 (co-starring with Gonchichi, Goro Ito, Theory of Relativity, salyu x salyu) and in 2014 (co-starring with Taeko Onuki and appearing at the Kyoto Music Expo hosted by Kururi) have become a big topic. Released a remix by Cornelius in 2015. In 2017, he released his third album "The Imperfect Sea", and in October he will have a tour of Japan for the first time in three years.
