Fontains D.C. has grown into a rock band that symbolizes 2022. After the cancellation of the unforgettable Fuji Rock, the first performance in Japan is finally decided!
Fontaines D.C. is a postpunk band from Dublin, Ireland. In April 2019, he released his debut album "Dogrel". The album was highly acclaimed in NME (5/5), The Guardian (5/5), and Pitchfork (8.0/10). The tour ranked 9th in the UK chart and 4th in the Irish chart, and the tour was sold out across the board. Rolling Stone acclaims the band with "Our favorite new punk band". He also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and the album won first place in Rough Trade and BBC 6Music's annual best albums. He was also nominated for Mercury Prize in 2019. In July 2020, he released his second album, "A Hero's Death." The album won 2nd place in the UK chart and 2nd place in the Ireland chart. The album was selected as one of the best albums of the year in many media, and was nominated for the 63rd Grammy Award "Best Rock Album". In April 2021, the band was also nominated for the "International Group" of the Brit Award.
Skinty Fear, the third album that questions Ireland's identity, won first place on the UK album chart and first place on the Ireland album chart. The long-awaited first visit to Japan has been decided!
