In January 2021, Arlo Parks released his debut album, Collapsed in Sunbeams. He won the Brit Award "Best New Artist Award", Mercury Prize, BBC "Introducing Artist Of The Year", and was nominated for the "Best New Artist Award" and "Best Alternative Music Album" in the Grammy Award. The album was in the top three in the British charts and won the AIM Award "Best Independent Album" and "UK Independent Breakthrough". It is included in almost all "Best Album of 2021" list and is acclaimed by many media. His songwriting has been widely supported by musicians, writers and celebrities such as Billie Eilish, Florence Welch, Michelle Obama, Angel Olsen, Phoebe Bridgers, MassiveAttack, and Zadie Smith.
